In 1967, Allan “Gil” Anderson established the G. Anderson Agency as a general insurance and real estate agency serving the Long Beach Island area. The company's first home in Haven Beach was a modest building, staffed by four employees. Within six years, the firm had expanded into Manahawkin with a second office and five new staff members. Between the island and the mainland, these two branches were buzzing, offering everything from New Jersey business insurance to workers compensation insurance to property casualty insurance for local businesses and residents.

Gil's son, Andy Anderson, and his son-in-law, Dan Taylor, joined the firm in 1973, and just a few years later, the 16-member staff moved to its current 7,000-square-foot facility. In 1999, the insurance division had grown so much that it “graduated” to its own identity, adopting the name Anderson Insurance Agency. Both companies continue to grow and are widely respected throughout the area and industry for their integrity, professionalism and reliability.

Now more than 25 employees strong, Anderson Insurance Agency boasts a sizable staff of certified insurance professionals specializing in a wide range of products, including NJ business insurance, NJ commercial auto insurance, commercial property insurance, small business liability insurance and flood insurance.
